  The police in Borno state has arrested one Musa Faisal in connection with the acid attack on his 26-year old girlfriend, Fatima Usman, a final year student of Department of Nursing, University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID)  who was attacked with corrosive fluid by suspected tricycle operators in Maiduguri on March 16th. The state commissioner of Police (CP), Damian Chukwu, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in Maiduguri yesterday March 29th. The police boss said the suspect, Musa Faisal, was arrested by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Kano.

The young girl who identified her mother as  Chinwendu Ngolo  from Ehime Mbano in Imo state, disclosed that her mother’s plan was to kill her father. She reportedly put the poison in her father’s food, however, she told him about her mother’s plan before serving him the food. When asked why she told her father, the young girl disclosed that she loves him.   A woman was rescued from being lynched by an angry mob after she was nabbed for stealing a new born baby in Rivers state. It was gathered that the woman was caught red handed after hiding the one day old  baby  inside her handbag and almost fled the area before she was apprehended behind steel village in Port-Harcourt, the state capital. The woman was almost mobbed by the angry crowd which converged at the scene after an alarm was raised.   A 91-year-old woman has married the love of her life, a 73-year-old man in a grand wedding after dating him for over 10 years. The woman identified as Evelina Meadder tied the nuptial knot to her long term boyfriend Calgent Wilson who is 73 years old in a grand wedding in Jamaica.
